Shamanic Restorative Yoga

Shamanic Restorative Yoga
Monday, July 22nd from 6:00-7:15pm

This 75 minute class, lead by Becca Herrington and KC Fitzgerald, will combine Shamanic Healing rituals and Restorative Yoga to aid in deep listening to one’s own body.  Blocked energies are identified and released through the use of traditional shamanic practices such as plant limpia, sound vibration, essential oils and touch in conjunction with restorative yoga poses that are held for 3-5 minutes.   This practice creates balance, vibrancy and a deep sense of peace. Space is limited to 18 participants.

Cost: $25. Teachers: KC and Becca.

KC is originally from Los Angeles, California where she was born and raised. Her yoga journey began in 2007, as a stress reliever after a long day of teaching elementary Special Education students for LAUSD. As she began her journey, she also introduced yoga to her students in the classroom. KC saw how yoga gave her tools to help with daily stressors using movement and the breath to ease anxiety and quiet the mind and realized how her students could benefit from yoga as well. In the spring of 2016, KC finally decided to enroll in a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program through YogaWorks in El Segundo, CA. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. In addition, she has also completed three separate Children’s Yoga training programs. KC is a Reiki Level 2 practitioner and often incorporates Reiki during Savasana.

Becca started along the path of a healer in her early twenties because of her deep respect for the Earth and all of it’s inhabitants.  She became a Reiki Master Teacher mentoring students in the activation of the natural healing art of the body.  Becca graduated from Dove Star Holistic Institute in 2001 with a degree in massage therapy followed by an in depth study with the Upledger Institute International to become a CranioSacral therapist in 2003.  As an herbalist, who apprenticed under the guidance of Rosemary Gladstar, Becca has a genuine love for all the beauty and healing potential that the plant kingdom graciously offers us.  She has spent more than two decades training in the shamanic practices of the traditional peoples of the Andes mountains and jungles of Peru and Ecuador.  She is currently under the tutelage of the Magia Sciamana, her shamanic matrineal lineage of Southern Italy.
